The Sand Bothy
Our main space is flexible with good disabled access. It is home to a wide variety of groups and activities. This includes children’s classes, craft clubs, fundraising events, educational talks and exhibitions such as last year’s North Eastern Open Studios (NEOS) event. We would like to keep growing the number of people who use the Bothy so if you want to use it for your business, class, meeting or after sport session please get in touch. We can be contacted by email, phone or through our online booking form.
Inside the Bothy our educational displays contain information about Balmedie beach and dunes. We have displays about local birds, flowers, shells, ship wrecks and the environment.

We have gated play area close to the Bothy and picnic areas surrounding the Bothy and in the dunes. If you are bringing a BBQ please be careful to place this away from fire hazards. There are only limited litter bins so please help by planning to take your litter away with you.
There is a Public Access Defibrillator attached to the outside of the Bothy.
